Mars running back Ori Rinaman ran for 185 yards and scored four touchdowns as the Planets routed Gateway 36-7 in the CoGo's Feature Matchup Friday night at the Mars Athletic Complex.

Rinaman controlled the ball for the Planets, carrying 27 times as Mars dominated the line of scrimmage in an impressive Greater Allegheny Conference victory.

With both teams coming in riding two game winning streaks, Gateway (2-3) travels to Mars (3-2) in a late-season conference game that could have playoff implications.

Mars has outscored their opponents by a mark of 183-62 this year, but they have dropped a pair of one-score games to Indiana and Franklin Regional.

The top two teams in the Interstate Conference squared off in Washington Friday night and the Little Prexies used a late-game surge to knock off the Vikings and gain the inside track to the conference title.

Washington capitalized on five Mount Pleasant turnovers and pulled away from the Vikings in a battle of the top two teams in the Interstate Conference with a 34-15 win on Friday night.

Two undefeated Interstate Conference powers, the Mount Pleasant Vikings (4-0) and the Little Prexies of Wash High (4-0), meet Friday night in a game that will most likely decide the outcome of the conference.

After a disappointing 0-2 start to the season, Chartiers-Houston will be looking to claim their first win of the new year at home against Western Beaver (0-2) on Friday in a class A non-section match.

Chartiers-Houston started the year slowly, falling to Avonworth in the opener by 24 points and then getting shut out by North Catholic in Week 2.

Greensburg Salem rallied from a 19-0 deficit to come within a couple yards of a second-half comeback, but Knoch hung on to beat the Golden Lion 19-14 in a thrilling game at Offut Field in Greensburg Friday night.

The Lions had stormed back to pull within 19-14 and were deep into Knoch territory before running back Lenny Grebeck was stopped on fourth down.
