Keenan Reynolds wrapped up his record-setting college career in spectacular fashion, running for three scores and throwing for another Monday to lead No. 21 Navy past Pitt 44-28 in the Military Bowl.

Annapolis, MD—Four guys not named Keenan Reynolds were recognized in New York City as Heisman candidates just two weeks ago.

Since 2000, the University of Pittsburgh has yielded a pair of 1,000-yard NFL wide receivers in Antonio Bryant (two seasons over 1,000-yards) and Larry Fitzgerald (seven).

If his recording-setting numbers prove to be any sort of indicator, current Pitt receiver Tyler Boyd looks to follow in their footsteps.

All three local Division 1 college football teams learned of their bowl destinations on Sunday. Pitt will face Navy in the Military Bowl, Penn State meets Georgia in the Tax Slayer Bowl and WVU plays Arizona State in the Cactus Bowl.

Pitt received an invititation from the Military Bowl presented by Northrop Grumman and will play Navy of the American Athletic Conference in Annapolis, Md.

Pitt running back James Conner announced Friday he has been diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma.

“When I heard those words, ‘You have cancer,’ I admit I was scared,” Conner said. “But after thinking about it for a bit, I realized that fear is a choice. I choose to not fear cancer.

Miami's Brad Kaaya threw for 261 yards and the Hurricanes rode a big first half to a 29-24 win over ‪Pitt‬ in the regular season finale at Heinz Field.

PITTSBURGH - The last time a Pitt squad beat Miami in Pittsburgh, President Bill Clinton was in office rounding out the year 1997.

Qadree Ollison ran for 152 yards, Nate Peterman threw 4 touchdown passes, Tyler Boyd had 153 yards from scrimmage and Ejuan Price had five sacks as ‪Pitt‬ outlasted Louisville 45-34 at Heinz Field on Saturday evening.

PITTSBURGH -- In their four games prior to Saturday afternoon's contest against Louisville, the Pitt offense combined for just 29 points in the first half.
